We arrived in Santa Barbara and it didn't take us long to see what prop 64 was all about! *Keep out of the reach of children* This was our much looked forward to stop with our good friend's Tracy & Michael Mongold, who BTW have a solid reputation for knowing how to have a good time...and you thought we did...also for having some pretty great friends. So naturally, we kicked off the visit with drinks & booty shaking in their living room with Michael's cool work peeps Lucy & Marcell. Tracy's Mom Donna & sister Brenda were visiting at the same time and we joked about how we had to trek it all the way to California to see each other! Reminiscing of past times brought back the old adage "It's a Bumpas thing"! We donated the Peacemaker 99 Pack box (see previous post) and mounted it above their kitchen sink -- only because the mantel was taken.

We loaded into Michael's Jeep & Charles's truck the next morning and headed to State Street to shop, eat lunch and check out the adorable town of Santa Barbara. We decided to "boon-dock" the RV in the Mongold driveway, which I swore I would not disclose, but hey - we wanted to be close, stay late and get a free meal. Ha! Going to Cat Therapy was the first order of business and it was a family high-light! It was a poshy cat adoption pad in DT that we paid to cuddle cats & kittens. It's a non-profit and the funds collected goes to adopting out the felines. Saylor, Tye & Brenda were in heaven! After cat-therapy we had wine-therapy! With 7 tasting rooms within 2 city blocks, I started to get excited about visiting further up the coastline to the infamous California Wine Country. That night we went to Imperial Lounge and another super swanky bar for some cocktails. It reminded me of the 1970's Hollywood scene, it was very Mad Men-ish.
We hiked Los Padres National National Park then had a tall, cold beer at Cold Springs Tavern.

Zaytoon was a fantastic mediterranean restaurant we ate at DT. The food, ambiance, service and belly-dancing made for a great evening. We spent the day earlier playing sand volleyball at East Beach and Charles & I also "got salted" as an anniversary gift to each other. I highly recommend this experience! Something about walking into a couple's massage room with 200 million year old Himalayan pink salt felt incredibly calming, detoxifying and healing.
This is the backyard fruit & veggie loot! Lemons, limes, avocados & oranges straight off the trees!! How great is that!?!
The beaches, the mountains, the scene and cuisine - SB has it all!
